BASIX recognises the following external wall types:

You need to provide evidence, to the satisfaction of the certifier, that the construction type installed on site meets the total R-value requirements as laid out in the BASIX certificate. Note: If you wish to use straw bale construction for your dwelling, you will need to use the Simulation method.
